But the cozy mood is shattered when the group comes face-to-face with one pair’s infidelity. As secrets are revealed, each couple begins questioning the validity of their own marriage. | I enjoyed this movie. Perry cast some fine brothers and sister for this one, especially Lamar Rucker! Now, we need a love story with Lamar Rucker starring in it! I've enjoyed every movie and soap he has starred in. All I could do during this movie was whistle and smile. Great Work! |

| Why Did I Get Married?- Is a great movie. Tasha Smith stole the show with great acting. Lamar Rucker was...fine as hell. I still think he needed to work his part, nonetheless the first time I saw him here I think I almost forgot the rest of the show. Michael Jai White was in Spawn, he is a fantastic actor. I love that he and Tasha Smith were together in the movie. Sharon Leal's acting was a bit weak, she is beautiful but... Malik Yoba and Janet Jackson are the most unlikely couple but it is possible. Janet's role was suprising but I loved that she choose something different, and it was a great choice. Jill Scott is my girl, she was a bit weak but it was in tune with her character, I felt her acting, but I don't think that now-a-days many women are that weak. Tyler Perry is fantastic as an actor and director, but...I really miss Madea. |

| After watching this movie, I gave it 2 stars. Four of my lady friends watched this flick together and we all have been married for over 25 years or more, and we all had the same interpretation and agreed unanimously (which is very rare). The movie was not realistic. First of all, what woman would take her best girlfriend on a retreat for all couples because there was an extra bedroom. Get real. Also, I don't care who you are, but no one could be that naive and allow her man to treat her like that. If there are women out there like that, I don't want to meet her. The ultimate is if everyone's secrets were put out there like that, none of those couples would be friends again because they would not be able to trust each other.
I will say, Tasha's performance was great and Lamar Rucker is one fine brother!!! |

| I have never reviewed a movie, ever, but I had to say hats off, salute, two thumbs up, and a snap in z-formation to the entire cast of Why Did I Get Married! I was so proud to see such beautiful black people on the screen, and everyone dived feet first into their roles. I forgot Janet was Janet, and Jill was Jill. Will Smith used to be my boyfriend; he has now been replaced by that oh so sexy Michael Jai. The dialogue in this movie off the hook! Intelligent, witty, and real. Tasha said all the things I would only dare say. She did her thing! This movie was like oxygen! Refreshing and inspiring. Makes me want to be a better wife for my husband, a better mother for my son, but most of all, a better me for me. It's not just a chick flick, but every couple needs to be front and center. Tyler Perry's best yet, and somehow I feel the best is still yet to come!!! |
